Pictures are the original visual communication tool. Letters are the code required for words. Word code is required for texting, tweeting, or writing a story. ABC Muskoka grew out the my love of both pictures and words. ABC Muskoka, only 6” x 4”, inspired by Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit books, was designed for small hands. The images are a series of 8” x 6” lino block relief images that come from a lifetime of exploring shorelines of lakes Rosseau and Joseph by rowboat, canoe or kayak.

Originally the alphabet was black & white, with up to an edition of 10 original prints pulled from the blocks. Later images with more general or even Toronto themes were added to the series. At that that time colour was also added to many of the original digital files.

Some of the original prints are available for purchase, directly from the Studio, as are the digital colour reproductions, and the book ABC Muskoka. For information and original works pricing or to commission your personal work of art please contact the studio
